Minutes from Loch Tay, Hawthorn Cottage is a luxurious way to enjoy the Scottish countryside.
This gorgeous old cottage has been created with luxury in mind. It is clear that it has been a labour of love for the owners who live next door. With luxury, style and relaxation on offer here we feel it is a grown up space, suitable for adults and older children rather than young families and there is therefore an age restriction of 12 years and older.
The whole house is newly renovated. There is parking out the front of the property for one car (other parking can be arranged on booking). Upon entering the property there is an entrance lobby/boot room, ideal for returning from your adventures. Moving through the hall there is a cosy living room with rustic exposed beams, two comfy sofas, flat-screen TV and a log burning stove. Also downstairs is the fully equipped, delightful cottage style kitchen-diner, a utility area with washer-dryer and the impressive downstairs bathroom.
Upstairs (please note that the stairs are quite steep as it is an old crofting cottage) are the two bedrooms and the second luxuriously finished bathroom which features a large built-in shower, 2 heated towel rails and separate bath. The first bedroom has zip and link beds which can transfigure into either a super king or two singles. This room has a charming window seat with sweeping views of the valley. The second bedroom has a king sized bed and also features a window seat with rural views as well as a window overlooking the rear garden.
The rear of the property can be accessed through the back door in the utility or directly through the outdoor gate. There is a patio with large picnic table as well as garden areas ideal for catching the sun and enjoying the views out towards Drummond Hill and the start of Glen Lyon. There is also a secure shed where you can find the BBQ and store any bikes.
