From the moment we set foot in this stunning house we were completely blown away and we cannot wait to share the experience that is the “ Heilan Roo” with our guests. No photographs or words can quite explain the incredible feeling that washes over you as you walk into this tranquil dwelling. It is pure bliss!
For the owners of this property, its creation has been a labour of love. Every tiny detail has been carefully considered, with hours and hours of pondering and deliberation resulting in a house that would look totally at home in a high-end interior design magazine!
Set amongst the forest of Killiecrankie this house combines exceptional, modern luxury with the earthy tones of the surrounding woodland. On either side of the open plan living space, are bi-fold doors that open to really bring the outdoors in. As well as this, every room has doors that open out into the incredible garden where, at every turn, there is always something interesting to look at and somewhere to perch and enjoy a coffee (or glass of wine!) The garden has been expertly designed, to sit perfectly into its natural surroundings. The sound of the stream creates an incredibly relaxed atmosphere which is added to further by the log burning hot tub! There are also water features through the rock formations, which offer a particularly magical quality at night when lit up. You can enjoy all this as you huddle by the impressive boulder fire pit or enjoy cooking on the BBQ for some alfresco dining.
The house sleeps 6-8, over 3 gorgeous bedrooms all with king or super king-sized beds and luxury padded, velvet headboards that almost reach the ceilings. They have all been uniquely styled and have a very opulent feel. Each bedroom also benefits from patio doors leading out to the garden. The fabulous velvet sofa in the gaming/TV room can be made up as an additional double bed should you have over 6 guests or anyone in your party does not wish to share. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room and the other two bedrooms have a shower room located between them. There is a 3rd shower room at the other side of the living space, by the gaming room.
The open plan living space has been designed to be particularly sociable, ensuring that no-one is left out of the fun or conversation! In the main social area you will find a large leather corner sofa facing the bifold doors and view at the front of the house. Set back from this is a cosy corner with another leather sofa, very cool feature fireplace and large 80” television. There is also a Bluetooth sound system so you can enjoy your own music and surround sound when watching a movie. The Dining area is behind this, with large table and seating for 8. You can open the bifold doors and enjoy the sights and sounds from the garden. The stunning kitchen is well equipped and features a built-in wine fridge, oven, microwave, induction hob, fridge freezer and dishwasher. There is also a Dulce Gusto coffee maker. The separate utility room has a sink and washer dryer.
The Heilan Roo is the perfect place to relax and unwind with friends or family. A place to make special memories with loved ones. A haven where you can switch off from life’s daily stresses and rejuvenate. A place of tranquillity and healing.
