Tatha View is located on the edge of the conservation village of Kenmore, which is nestled at the eastern end of Loch Tay.  The name Tatha means Tay in Gaelic. Kenmore offers a wealth of fantastic amenities and activities including The Courtyard deli (with a fabulous selection of treats and everyday essentials), The Kenmore Hotel with its bars and restaurant (Closed until 2023), The Courtyard Bistro and bar, The Paperboat cafe, Taymouth marina with its amazing Hot Box and Ferrymans Inn and Kenmore golf course.  There are lots of local walks and a play park within the grounds of Taymouth Castle.  And, best of all, you can simply walk down the garden, pop through the gate and its all on your doorstep!!  There is even a great beach on the loch side which is ideal for picnics and paddling.  You can hire boats and head out on to the loch or take a cruise with Loch Tay Safaris.

This stunning area of Perthshire is a dream come true for anyone who likes walking.  Whether its a stroll with the dog along the River Tay or bagging one of the local Munros (and everything in between) it is all here.  Some favourite walks from the door of Tatha View are Kenmore Hill, Drummond Hill and Taymouth Castle grounds circular walk.

Just 6 miles to the east you will find the popular town of Aberfeldy which has a wonderful selection of shops including a large co-op supermarket, petrol station, Breadalbane Bakery and Pantry, fantastic MacDonalds Butchers, chemist, pet shop, post office and some lovely gift and clothing offerings.  The award winning Aberfeldy Watermill Bookshop, cafe and gallery must be on your list of places to visit, especially for great coffee and delicious lunches and cakes.  The Tay cafe does the most amazing Cullen Skink (and LOTS of other fabulous food) and don’t miss a visit to Piece as well.  The Birks Community Cinema has a lovely cafe and bar and you can take a glass of something in with you to watch one of the latest movies.  This very friendly highland town really does have it all and we know our visitors love spending time there.  For more details on all the things on offer, visit our The Area page.
