This charming, traditional cottage has recently been refurbished to a high standard. Sitting above Loch Tay on the edge of the small village of Lawers, it has breathtaking views of the Loch and surrounding hills and a back drop of the majestic Ben Lawers. This is the perfect location for those wanting to get away from it all and just soak up the beauty of the Scottish highlands. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, one king and one zip and link, a cosy sitting room, spacious dining room and the added bonus of a conservatory with stunning views of Loch Tay. There is a newly fitted kitchen and a beautiful bathroom with a roll top bath and separate shower cubicle. Outside there is a lovely garden with seating areas and a gravel parking area. Although this is a very rural location, there is still a pub within walking distance and the villages of Kenmore and Killin are easily accessible.
The village of Lawers is located on the north shore of Loch Tay. The Lawers Hotel has a bar and restaurant and is within walking distance of the cottage. The village of Kenmore is to the east and the small town of Killin is to the west, both offer shops, activities and attractions. There is a wide range of activities available in the area such as golf, fishing, water sports, walking, cycling, shooting, horse riding and even bungee jumping! There is also a wonderful collection of award winning attractions such as the Scottish Crannog Centre, Highland Safaris and the Dewars Aberfeldy Distillery.
The great central location of this area means that you can get to places such as Edinburgh, Glasgow, St Andrews, Oban and Inverness within a couple of hours, making this a great location to explore Scotland from.
